Updates to Cryptocurrency Advertising Policy in France (July 2026)

Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

Starting July 1, 2026, Google will update its Cryptocurrencies and related products policy in France. We will no longer accept registration from the AMF’s Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) for advertising cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets. Moving forward, all advertisers promoting these services must be authorized as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. This update follows the expiration of France's transitional period outlined in the original Updates to Cryptocurrency Advertising Policy in the EU (April 2025) change log.
