In October 2025, the Google Ads healthcare and medicines policy will be updated to introduce a certificate for public health and safety awareness campaigns in Singapore. As part of the update, governmental or well-established non-profit health advocacy organisations may use prescription drug terms, including prescription opioid painkiller terms, in ad text, landing pages and keywords.

Advertisers will need to apply for certification with Google. The application for Singapore will open on 8 October 2025.

Violations of this policy won't lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued at least seven days prior to any suspension of your account. Learn more about Google Ads account suspensions overview.
