In October 2025, the Google Ads Healthcare and medicines policy will be updated to introduce a certificate for public health and safety awareness campaigns in Singapore. As part of the update, governmental or well-established non-profit health advocacy organizations may use prescription drug terms, including prescription opioid painkiller terms, in ad text, landing pages, and keywords.

Advertisers will need to apply for certification with Google. The application for Singapore will open on October 8, 2025.

Violations of this policy will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued at least 7 days prior to any suspension of your account. Learn more about suspended accounts.
