Update to Gambling and Games Policy: Cameroon and Namibia (August 2025)

On August 19, 2025, Google Ads will update its Gambling and games policy for Cameroon and Namibia.

We will begin to accept and run ads for online gambling in both countries, with specific licensing requirements:

Cameroon

Online gambling advertisers must be licensed and registered with the Agence de Régulation des Jeux.

Products allowed Country-specific certification requirement
Online gambling:
  • Sports betting
  • Online games
  • Gambling-related lotteries

Operator must be a licensed operator registered with the Agence de Régulation des Jeux.

Namibia

Advertisers promoting online gambling content must provide licenses from the Gambling Board and the Lotteries Board.

Operator must be a licensed operator registered with the Gambling Board and the Lotteries Board.
