Update to the Dangerous products or services policy (July 2025)

Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

On September 1, 2025, the Google Ads Dangerous products or services policy and Google Shopping Dangerous products policy will be updated to restrict the following category of products:

Not supported Ads for pill presses, encapsulating machines and related components used for compacting or filling powders, granules or other materials into tablets or capsules.

Examples: pill presses, tableting machines, dies, molds, stamps, punches used for creation or imprinting of pills and tablets.

We will begin enforcing the policy update on September 1, 2025 with full enforcement ramping up over approximately 6 weeks.

Violations of this policy will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued at least 7 days prior to any suspension of your account. Learn more about suspended accounts.

Please review this policy update to determine whether or not any of your ads fall in scope of the policy, and if so, remove those ads before September 1, 2025.
