Update to Gambling and Games Policy (February 2025)

Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

On February 17, 2025, the Google Ads Gambling and games policy Philippines country-specifics will be updated. In addition to state-run entities, we will begin accepting ads by state-licensed entities.

Google doesn't allow the following gambling-related content:

  • Location-based or "brick-and-mortar" gambling
Online gambling No issues detected and positive check mark icon Allowed with limitations

Google allows ads promoting the following online gambling by state-run or state-licensed entities:

  • Casino games
  • Lotteries
  • Bingo
  • Sports Betting

Advertisers must also be certified with Google. See how to apply.

Online non-casino games red x mark Not allowed Google doesn't allow advertising for Internet-based games where money or other items of value are paid or wagered to win a greater sum of money or other item of value.

Advertisers must apply for certification.

The Gambling and games policy page will be updated when the policy goes into effect on February 17, 2025.
