On 5 April 2024, the country specifics for Romania in the Google Ads gambling and games policy will be updated to reflect updated gambling regulations and certification requirements:

Operators currently certified with Google who were previously certified without an ONJN licence must apply for certification with the required ONJN documentation.
Starting 5 April 2024, any advertiser operating without a Romanian licence or equivalent approvals will have their gambling certificate revoked and will not be eligible to serve gambling ads in Romania.
New advertisers, or those who did not provide updated paperwork in a timely manner and had their gambling certificate revoked, must apply for certification.
The gambling and games policy page will be updated when the policy goes into effect on 5 April 2024.
