Updates to our child and teen ads policies (December 2023)

Google provides translated versions of our Help Center, though they are not meant to change the content of our policies. The English version is the official language we use to enforce our policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

In December 2023, we will update the language in some of our child and teen ads policies to provide more clarity and transparency. There are no enforcement changes.

Ads & made for kids content

• We’ll reorganize and revise the language in the restricted categories and prohibited content section for clarity and alignment with our Ad-serving protections for children policy.

Ad-serving protections for children

• We’ll add a new article to the Google Ads help center to make it easier to find and understand our existing protections for children when we show ads.

Ad-serving protections for teens

• We’ll revise the language for clarity and for better consistency with our other policies.
