In March 2023, Google will update the Financial products and services policy to clarify the scope and requirements for the advertisement of complex speculative financial products.

Beginning 10 March 2023, advertisers offering complex speculative financial products (Contracts for difference, financial spread betting and synonymous products) targeting Brazil may advertise those products and services when they meet the following requirements and are certified by Google.

Brazil (Contracts for difference, financial spread betting)

Google allows ads promoting complex speculative financial products targeting Brazil, as long as the advertiser is duly licensed by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). Other local legal requirements must also be met, including leverage caps and risk warnings.

Advertisers must also be certified with Google.

Violations of this policy will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued, at least seven days prior to any suspension of your account.
