Updates to Gambling and games policy (October 2021)

In October the Google Ads gambling and games policy United States country-specifics will be updated. We will begin to accept ads for sports betting, online casinos and daily fantasy sports from certified, state-licensed entities in Connecticut from 7 October 2021. 

Advertisers must apply for certification. Application for certification will be open to advertisers who wish to promote online gambling content in this region on 7 October 2021. 

The Gambling and games policy page will be updated when the policy goes into effect.

Addendum update 6 October 2021:

Following the announcement made by the Communications Director for the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the launch of Connecticut online sports betting, scheduled to go live on 7 October, will be delayed, we will be postponing this policy update until further notice.
