In October the Google Ads Gambling and games policy United States country-specifics will be updated. We will begin to accept ads for sports betting, online casinos and daily fantasy sports from certified, state-licensed entities in Connecticut from October 7, 2021.

Advertisers must apply for certification. Application for certification will be open to advertisers who wish to promote online gambling content in this region on October 7,  2021.

The Gambling and games policy page will be updated when the policy goes into effect.

Addendum Update October 6, 2021:

Following the announcement made by the Communications Director for the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the launch of Connecticut online sports betting, scheduled to go live on October 7, will be delayed, we will be postponing this policy update until further notice.

In accordance with the press release issued by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection with their revised timelines, application for certification will be open to advertisers who wish to promote online gambling content in this region on October 12, 2021.
