I'm a little confused about the process to activate AdSense on my Blogger account 0 Recommended Answers 9 Replies 5 Upvotes

Hey guys! My blog on Blogger recently got qualified for AdSense, so I went to the Earnings tab and signed up for it. Then I was shown a message saying "We're working on setting you up", with the additional info that it could take between a day to a couple of weeks for the process to complete.
I then got an email asking me to paste some AdSense code in my blog's HTML script, which I did through the widgets section. In that same email, I was asked to return to AdSense after I'd finished pasting that code, but when I did so, I saw the same message as before (I naturally refreshed the page as well).
I wasn't sure if this is how the process normally works and if I'm still on the right track, so thought I'd seek some help. Hope you guys can help me out here! Cheers!

To apply from Blogger Earnings tab you should not need to add code.
Check the html view of the blog to see if it's added twice - if so remove the widget/ gadget one.

Just check you applied correctly per this:

For a Blogger blog (blogspot.com ) you need to apply from Blogger dashboard earnings tab,
Review the steps at  https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/1269077?hl=en

Note this part
  • Tip: If you’re interrupted before you complete the steps, complete steps 1-5 again. If your AdSense homepage says "We're working on setting you up" for more than a few days, click Accept association.

Thanks for the information! I'm gonna wait for a few days to see if my request gets approved, and I removed the extra code from my Blogger page :)

AdSense said that my site was down or unavailable, which is not true. Therefore I re-applied but got the same feedback. What should I do?

Thanks.

Did you add in your own ad  code as I see multiple instances and there should only be one.

When you apply from Blogger, then Blogger adds the code for you --- you do not and should not add it as well.

Remove all but one Adsense autoad code.

I haven't added any ad code myself. I'd copied the code they sent me before but removed it when I learnt I didn't have to.
