About the Served ad types report

The Served ad types report gives you a detailed breakdown of the ads that actually served on your site. For example, let's say you've set up an ad unit to request display ads. You can use the Served ad types report to see exactly what kind of display ads were shown in your ad unit, e.g., animated image, HTML5, etc.

The Served ad types report replaces the Ad types report, which has now been deprecated.

Understanding the Served ad types report

Sometimes in this report you might see that different kinds of ads were served to an ad space on your page. For example, let's say you've allowed selected display ads to appear in your native In-article ads. In this case, you might see both the "Display/Image" and "Native/Ad" ad types served into an ad unit that's configured for "Native/Ad".

Note that we use a "/" naming convention in the report for related kinds of ads. For example, for display ads you might see "Display/Animated image", "Display/HTML5", etc.
