Why are my Google AdSense earnings declining?

Find out why your earnings have declined

The first step in identifying what's caused a drop in earnings is to know the key metrics that influence your earnings. There are multiple factors that affect revenue, but in general the important metrics are: page views, CTR, page RPM, and CPC. You can view these metrics on the Performance reports page in your AdSense account.

The Entire account by day report

The most useful report to start with is Entire account by day. To access this report:

  • In the left navigation, click Performance reports, then click Common reports and select Entire account by day.The Entire account by day report
We recommend that you extend the date range to at least the last 30 days to get a better picture of any patterns or trends.
