Payments

Payment timelines

Learn the details around when you are paid your earnings and how you can track the progress of your payments.

The AdSense payment cycle is monthly. You'll accrue estimated earnings over the course of a month, and then at the beginning of the following month your earnings are finalized and posted to your balance on your Payment history. If your balance exceeds the payment threshold and you have no payment holds, you'll be issued a payment on or around the 21st of the month. For example, you'll accrue estimated earnings throughout the month of June. By July 3rd, you'll see your June 1st-30th finalized total earnings credited to your Payment history. You'll then be issued a payment for your June earnings and any other credits on your balance as one lump sum on July 21st. The exact time you'll receive your payment depends on which form of payment you've selected.

If you're receiving earnings through the YouTube Partner Program, learn how these earnings will appear in your AdSense account.

What if my balance doesn't meet the payment threshold?

If your monthly earnings didn't reach the payment threshold, your earnings will be rolled over and combined with your next month's earnings. If your new balance exceeds the payment threshold, you'll be issued a payment at the end of the following month. For example, if your June earnings did not meet the payment threshold, they'll be rolled over and combined with your July earnings. If your new balance exceeds the payment threshold, we'll issue a single lump sum payment for your combined June and July earnings at the end of August.

If a payment hold prevented your most recent balance from payment in our normal payment cycle, your payment will be issued within a few days of removing the payment hold.

How do I track my payments?

Your Payment history is updated to indicate the progress of your payments. You'll see line items added and updated throughout the month as your earnings are finalized and then issued for payment. You also might notice other line items for various payments and credits. Click your form of payment below to see your customized payment timeline.

3rd of each month: Your estimated earnings for the previous month are finalized and posted to your Payment history. In your Payment history, you'll see a line item with your earnings total added to the previous month's transactions.
Your Payment history will also display any deductions related to adjustments or fees. Please note that you may not see line items for invalid activity deductions taken during the finalization process. Learn about more invalid activity deductions.
20th of each month: Changes to payment information (including removing payment holds) must be completed on or before the 20th. Changes made after the 20th of any month won't take effect until the following month's payment cycle. Also, your total balance on the 20th must reach the payment threshold. If your balance does not meet the payment threshold or if you have a payment hold, you will not be paid that month and your balance will be rolled over to the following month.
21st of each month: On the 21st of the month, a "Payment in Progress" line appears on the Payments history, indicating that the earnings are processed and issued to your banking institution. When this line item updates to say “Payment Initiated”, this means that our bank has accepted the payment and it has been sent for processing.

If the 21st falls on a weekend or holiday, payments may be issued on the first business day following the 21st of that month.
