Opportunities and experiments

Customise your Auto optimise experiments

Auto optimise settings give you more control over the optimisation experiments that Google runs on your behalf.

In this article:

Select traffic

This setting lets you select the percentage of your users that you want to show optimisation experiments to.

Note: If your experiment is visible to too few users, it may impact your results.

To select your traffic percentage:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Optimisation, then Experiments.
  3. Click your current Auto optimise setting, for example, Auto optimise on.
  4. In the 'Select traffic' section, use the slider to select the percentage of your traffic that you want Auto optimise to run experiments on.
For AdSense for content, we recommend selecting at least 50% of your traffic.
For AdSense for search, we recommend selecting at least 5% of your traffic.
  5. Click Save settings.

Your changes will be applied to future experiments.

  6. Click Confirm.

Your changes will be applied to future experiments.
