Unlock user metrics for your apps

The user metrics toggle has been deprecated.

Learn how to continue collecting metrics in AdMob.

Link your app to Firebase and integrate the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK to unlock user metrics data for your app. This data populates the user metrics card on the App Overview pages and enables you to use the User Activity report and the Cohort report.

Once you link your app to Firebase and integrate the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK, AdMob will begin reporting on sessions per user, session duration, ad exposure per session, daily active users (DAU), and more.

For more information regarding how the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK collects and uses your data, refer to Get started with Google Analytics app reporting.

Instructions

To view user metrics data in your AdMob account, complete the following steps:

  1. Link your apps to Firebase
  2. Integrate the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK into your apps (Android, iOS).

Link your apps to Firebase

You can link your AdMob app(s) to Firebase so that you can use your linked Google Analytics account data in AdMob. To use your Google Analytics data in AdMob, your Firebase project must be linked to your Google Analytics account.

Learn more about the benefits of using Firebase and Google Analytics

By linking AdMob to Firebase, your Google Analytics data will be available to AdMob independent of your Google Analytics Data Sharing Settings. This allows your Analytics data to flow to AdMob to enhance product features and improve app monetization.
