About eCPM Trends

eCPM Trends provides key monetization benchmarks to help you understand how your apps are performing compared to your peers. Use this report to gain industry insights and identify opportunities to improve your performance.

What is benchmarking?

Benchmarking allows you to compare your data with aggregated and anonymized AdMob data from other apps. This provides valuable context, helping you evaluate performance against your peers. Benchmarking data covers publisher performance from AdMob networks, third-party waterfall and bidding, and partner bidding.

How it works

eCPM Trends displays the eCPM performance of your peers over the last 14 days. By default, eCPM Trends shows your highest earning app and automatically selects a relevant peer group for that app.

Your peer group consists of other apps in AdMob that are in the same category (such as gaming and productivity).

You can customize your peer group settings to look at a variety of peer groups. Peer groups are configured using the following settings:

  • View data from over 300 app categories
  • Explore categories outside of your own app category
  • Choose more than one category in your peer group

  • View data for Android and/or iOS apps
  • Choose one or both platforms in your peer group

Opt in or out of eCPM Trends

You can opt in or out of peer group benchmarking (eCPM Trends). Changing the setting can be done only by users with the Administrator permission. By default, your network is automatically opted-in.

Note that if you opt out:

  • It may take about 60 days to remove your data from future benchmarks.
  • You can opt in again after 90 days.

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at
  2. Click Settings, and then Account.
