Analyze Scaled Partner Management revenue

Earnings data will be removed in 2019

As we transition Scaled Partner Management (SPM) to a new infrastructure, we won’t be able to support the earnings data in its current form. At some point in 2019 (this was pushed back from the original deprecation date of December 10, 2018), the data described in the “Find the revenue details” table below will no longer be available. This includes the removal of:

  • The snapshot of aggregated performance of all child publishers
  • The revenue details for a child publisher
  • The “Earnings data” tab

This is part of a greater evolution of SPM as we explore an entirely new redesign and investment in the future of the product. We’re looking forward to providing further updates on the evolution of SPM in 2019.

You can see revenue-related metrics aggregated for all child publishers, for individual child publishers, and for invalid traffic.

Metric Description
Total impressions

Number of ad impressions for monetized child publishers for the previous calendar month.

Total estimated revenue

Total deductions

Total finalized revenue

Earnings for monetized child publishers for the previous calendar month, calculated according to the following formula:

“Earnings data” tab FAQs

Why are the numbers in the Ad Exchange Query Tool different from those on the “Earnings data” tab?
The Ad Exchange Query Tool includes data on deleted child publishers, while Scaled Partner Management metrics filter them out. Query tool numbers should match estimated earnings and not finalized numbers.

Why don’t the "Earnings data" numbers exactly match the Payments page?
Due to reasons such as the aggregation of earnings/deduction values (which are rounded at the child publisher level in the SPM "Earnings data" tab), there may be minor discrepancies when comparing aggregated SPM earnings data with the Payments widget.

Why are there deductions applied for a child publisher without any associated impressions?
Per our Google Ad Manager Partner Guidelines, we credit advertisers for invalid traffic accrued 60 days prior to the date of invoice. Once we complete our investigation and begin processing these credits, it may take 30 days or more for the deduction to appear in your account. Invalid traffic deductions may therefore be applied after the month during which they were detected.

Can I get more details on SPM earnings deductions? Which domains resulted in these deductions?
To maintain the integrity of our invalid activity detection system and to prevent users from circumventing the system, we aren’t able to provide details on what invalid activity we noticed in your account. Learn about deductions from earnings

Can I appeal the deductions from SPM earnings data?
Unfortunately, you can't appeal the deductions. Please be assured that we have applied due diligence in reviewing the traffic in your account. A deduction is issued when we find invalid clicks in your account, when we find activity that's not in compliance with Google policy, or when advertisers who default on payments to Google have served ads on your content. How do I restrict access to SPM earnings data?
Access to the SPM earnings data is controlled by the "Create and view Ad Exchange reports" permission. To restrict access to earnings data for a specific user, disable this permission for the associated role. Learn about user role permissions in Ad Manager
