Check monthly migration requirements

Check minimum monthly requirements for migrated revenue

To ensure our partners are on track with the migration requirements, partners need to achieve a minimum percentage of revenue migrated each month.

For partners that don’t reach the minimum percentage target, a fixed percentage of their SPM traffic will be blocked as follows:

Date Required minimum % of revenue migrated to avoid blocking Blocked SPM traffic % if required minimum isn’t met
Oct 11, 2021 10% 5%
Nov 1, 2021 30% 10%
Dec 1, 2021 60% 15%
Jan 4, 2022 75% 20%
Feb 1, 2022 SPM turned off

Progress will be calculated daily. If blocked, SPM queries will not be filled by Ad Exchange throughout the day.

The “Revenue migrated percentage” is calculated as follows:

  • (MCM revenue) / (MCM revenue + SPM represented revenue not yet migrated).

In this formula, "MCM revenue" refers to MCM Manage Inventory Ad Exchange revenue. "Non-migrated SPM represented revenue" refers to SPM Represented revenue that hasn't been migrated to MCM, and isn't from a Linked Account.

Check your percentage of migrated revenue

You can check your “Revenue migrated percentage” in reporting.

First, you run 2 reports to find your “MCM revenue” and your “SPM represented revenue not yet migrated.” Then, you enter your totals into a formula. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Find your “MCM revenue”

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reporting and then Reports and then New report.
  3. Under "Report type," make sure Historical is selected.
  4. Enter a meaningful name for the report.
  5. Under “Date range,” select Fixed and then choose the date 2 days before today.
For example, if today is Friday, choose Wednesday.
  6. Select the Child network code dimension.
  7. Select the Ad Exchange revenue metric.
  8. Click Run.

Add up all Ad Exchange revenue associated with a child network code, ignoring the “(Not applicable)” row. The total is your MCM revenue.

Step 2: Find your “SPM represented revenue not yet migrated”

  1. Click Reporting and then Reports and then New report.
  2. Under “Report type,” select Ad Exchange historical.
  3. Enter a meaningful name for the report.
  4. Under "Timezone," select the option that corresponds to the publisher network's timezone.
  5. Under “Date range,” select Fixed and then choose the date 2 days before today.
For example, if today is Friday, choose Wednesday.
  6. Under “Filters,” select Inventory ownership, and then:
    1. From the dropdown, select Contains.
    2. Enter “Represented” as the value and then click Apply.
  7. Select the following dimensions:
    1. DFP Ad Units (Top Level)
    2. Network partner names
  8. Select the Estimated revenue metric.
  9. Click Run.
  10. Add all the Estimated revenue in the report, excluding rows where:
    1. Network partner names are “Non-represented”
    2. Ad units start with someone else’s network code

The total is your “SPM represented revenue not yet migrated.”

Step 3: Find your "Revenue migrated percentage"

Enter the values you found in steps 1 and 2 into this formula:

  • (MCM revenue) / (MCM revenue + SPM represented revenue not yet migrated)

The result is your Revenue migrated percentage.
