Account linking allows users to create or connect accounts to your Action.
Important:
-
Account linking adds a layer of authentication to a users experience with your Action, which may not be necessary depending on what your Action does.
-
If your Action is a companion to an app, service, or website, account linking allows you to tap into your existing authentication system.
There are three types of account linking:
-
Google Sign-in: Allow users to create or connect to a Google account.
-
OAuth and Google Sign-in: Seamless, voice-based linking for Google users, and users registered to your service.
-
OAuth: Opens an authorization endpoint for users registered to your service.
