google wallet granted access

I use Google Pay on my android phone. today I got an email saying "Google Wallet was granted access to your Google account." I thought Google Wallet was kapoot and replaced with Google Pay What does this message mean? Why would this happen in the middle of the night and not prior to making a purchase?

Hi guys today I woke up with the same problem, i try to delete Google Wallet in my account (Apps permissions) but keeps appearing. I had installed the following extensions in chrome:

The image is not visible due to forum settings.

I deleted:

Application Launcher for Drive

Documentos de Google sin conexión

Documentos

Google Keep: notas y listas

Hojas de Cálculo

Presentaciones

Restful Stress

Vysor

After this i went to my account and delete Google Wallet permission (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions?utm_source=google-account&utm_medium=web) and for now the problem is solved. Before re-install some of the extensions i'll wait the response from google about it.

I've gotten the same message 2 days in a row. I took changed my password after the first message and went through the steps to secure my account and just got the message again almost exactly 24 hours later. I'd love to know what is going on.

No precise searches results, except this support forum. I sent a link to the Forum to one of the better Tech Journalism web-sites in hopes that they can investigate further.

So far, radio silence from Alphabet et al.

Changed all passwords, then it happens again, 24 hours later....I'm a bit freaked out.

I have received two of these same alerts. The first one was on April 8th at 11:09 p.m. (EDT) and the second was on April 10th at 9:45 a.m. The alert said the connection was made from an unknown device at an unknown location. I changed the password to my account and checked which devices were associated with my account, but all of the devices were ones that I recognize and own. In case it helps, the second alert was received just as my desktop PC was finishing a reboot and Chrome was being reloaded while I was logged into the browser with the same account that I received an alert about.
