Can i use an amazon gift card to buy google play

No. Amazon and Google are two different companies.
Usually gift cards can't be used to buy gifts cards, but you could see if you can use your Amazon card to buy a Google Play card from Amazon to then redeem in Google Play. But I doubt it will allow you to do that.
