How do I stop sms(text) messages from going to my Gmail account?

Ive tried suggestions that say to go to your device email settings and unsync sms from email. I can't see anything in Gmail settings that prompt for that.

If using Google Messenger, mark the offending SMS as Spam, and Google messenger will block from main screen.

They can always be reviewed by you in the "Spam & Blocked" screen.

Not using Messenger. Only one contact (my husband) is impacted with this issue. Regular text sms from a Samsung Android phone. All orher text messages come in OK.

If using the Samsung SMS app, then you will need to ask Samsung about this, sorry.
