How do I recover my codes on Google Authenticator?

I have been logged out of my Instagram account, and for several weeks I have tried to recover the account back. It is not an issue with me forgetting my password or email but rather 2fa is enabled on my Instagram account.

A few weeks ago, I had to wipe all the data off my phone, including apps etc (like a factory reset type of thing.) I had the google authenticator on my phone, but as I wiped it, that deleted all my codes I had on the app.

I have gone through Instagram's account recovery process twice having to have sent a video of myself but received no response back. Looking for other options, I decided why not recover my codes on google authenticator, but seeing as I am not in a company / administrator rather I am an individual, the Admin Console login is irrelevant to me.

If anyone has any ideas on what to do please let me know! I don't want to create a 2nd Instagram account seeing as most of my memories and info is already on one account

There are two ways to recovery lost authentication codes:
* Use the QR code generated by doing an export. Obviously, this has to be done while one still has access to the old authenticator app.
* Use the original site-specific QR codes to configure the new authenticator (assuming you saved them).

If you can’t restore the authenticator, then you’ll have to attempt account recovery of each of the configured accounts.  If you saved the site-specific backup codes this will be no problem.  If you didn’t, you’ll have to contact the site about their account recovery process when the authenticator has been lost.

If the site does not provide a method of recovery when the authenticator is gone, then the account is lost.
