Outlook for Mac and Gmail always worked fine until the Catalina update. Now Outlook won't sync any folders, receive or send mail. All sent mail goes to "draft" folder and won't send. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, with no correction. When setting up Outlook, you are taken to the Google page that asks to verify your account. Once you click "YES" a pop up shows asking to allow Outlook to access you account. Once you click ""ALLOW" the Google page just sits there with the scrolling bar across the top and does nothing. Outlook opens and shows all folders, but nothing will update.

I am having similar problems that started after the Catalina update however, the problem persists even after I rolled-back to Mojave. Only 10% of my messages are synced to my Macbook. I have tried multiple accounts.
I tried the same accounts defined as IMAP and not as Google and they synchronized perfectly but I lost the Calendar and Contacts synchronizations.

I had the same issue, my G Suite & Mac Outlook setup that I've been using for years decided to stop working, I could receive emails but Outlook wasn't letting me send anything.

I spent a few hours on support with Google and Microsoft and it seems the only work around for now is to delete the account and create a new account via IMAP (Hit the Not Google? link top right in Step 2) rather than direct Google Account connection. 

Not the most ideal setup as it takes a lot longer to download emails using the IMAP connection than normal, but at least you can send and receive emails. Hopefully they resolve the issue soon and we can revert back to the standard setup.

Same issue here... Strange thing is that it worked for some days with Catalina but stopped working on two devices just today - even before applying the latest Catalina update to 10.15.1.
Synchronization works in general but only upto a certain timestamp (at least that what it looks like, the account seems to be synchronized after I deleted it but mails cannot be sent and new mails from today are not received)...

The problem is with IOS and Catalina too. Outlook with Apple devices dont work from yestarday.

Same problem here. Before Catalina Update Mails in Outlook stopped syncing since yesterday. After Catalina Update today i can not connect GmMail with Outlook

Got the exakt same issue. Found a few others threads with the same issues, but no solutions. Guess Microsoft/Google/Apple has to do an update

Ditto. Same problem for me with Catalina update.  When I first loaded Catalina, I had the problem for a day, and then it fixed itself.  Updated Catalina today to 10.15.1, same issue.  No Gmail sync in Outlook (in or out)

Same issue here.  Paid Google Apps account on Mac OS X Catalina 10.15.1, Outlook 16.32.  Adding account works, by nothing synchronizes. 

Wrote Microsoft as well, awaiting reply.  Will update if there is a resolution.

Delete all Microsoft related plists in containers and preferences folder(in the user library) fixed the problem for us.
