Change phone number

I registered a landline phone number in my Google account.

Now I can't change the phone number, change the password or make any changes because Google sends the verification code by SMS to the landline that can't receive SMS.

I have a second recovery email registered, but Google doesn't allow me to use it to receive the verification code.

How do I change this landline number to another that can receive SMS?

For me I want to setup 2 steps verification but the last 2 digits to receive SMS doesn't correspond to my phone number in my account so I can connect to my e-mails but I can't change anything in my account. If somebody can help. Thanks

I am enrolling into college and I’m setting up my gmail on the computer. I’m having the same problem where the only way to receive the verification code is through the old number, but the number has been cut off. I need to see the calendar since last time I check it said orientation was this week, please respond ASAP
