can't reset my password

I can no longer (for some unknown reason) access my personal email. By business email works fine. I've tried going through the process of resetting my password and failed miserably. It is the most ridiculous process I've ever experienced. At one point, I got a message that I had to wait 6 hours to receive a reset link. That never happened. The second go-round, I'm now being told that I must wait 48 hours before getting a link and I'm afraid the result will be the same experience. I can't wait 48 hours!!! I need to access my calendar for next week and respond to some organizations whose boards I sit on. My last attempt told me that I tried too many times and would have to give it a rest and try again later (I don't know how long I need to wait for "later"). So, there is no human being to contact at Google for help that I can find and their one phone number informs that no human answers the phone and refers you back to the web. This whole experience shouldn't be this convoluted!! (you, I'm sure, can't tell that I am frustrated?!)
