The last ten IP addresses which have accessed  the account can be seen if you click on "Details" at the bottom of https://mail.google.com/ in your pc.    (There is no way to get details of any attempted access which failed.)

Also, no logs at all are available for free consumer Gmail

You must not have any emails open to see that link at the bottom of your page, depending on the view you have set up in Gmail.

If you need more than the last ten, you have to serve a valid court order on Google at your expense.  https://goo.gl/JSVX3d

https://goo.gl/fub4FI  explains what activity information is available

Note that IP addresses can easily be spoofed/forged and do not show an actual location in many cases.  https://www.whatismyip.com/ip-address-geolocation-incorrect/ explains some of this.

Also you need to read   https://www.iplocation.net
3. How accurate is IP-based Geolocation?
Accuracy of geolocation database varies depending on which database you use. For IP-to-country database, some vendors claim to offer 98% to 99% accuracy although typical Ip2Country database accuracy is more like 95%. For IP-to-Region (or City), accuracy range anywhere from 50% to 75% if neighboring cities are treated as correct. Considering that there is no official source of IP-to-Region information, 50+% accuracy is pretty good.

This page https://security.google.com/settings/security/activity may also be helpful in some cases. Rather limited information there.

If you feel that your account was hacked, read http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.co.uk/#security.  Go to "When you reclaim Your Account" and change any settings the hacker has done over.

To check for suspicious activity, go to https://security.google.com/settings/security/activity

This article http://gmailblog.blogspot.com.au/2010/03/detecting-suspicious-account-activity.html also helps with detecting suspicious account activity.

Also read http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.co.uk/#security.  Go to "When you Reclaim Your Account" to help change any settings the hacker has altered, if in fact the account has been hacked.

To secure your account, go to https://goo.gl/e0xgy and follow ALL steps there.

Friendly reminder.  Account security and password protection is your responsibility; and it is not the job of Google to do this for you.  Google provide secure systems at their end;  you must do the same at your end!  https://www.google.com/safetycenter/
