I'm trying to create a whole new Gmail account. My first step takes me here. However, I don't want this new Gmail account to be associated with my current/default Google account, so I decide to click the "new Google Account" link on the bottom left of the above screenshot. That takes me here: I fill out all the details (censored in this screenshot to protect my privacy), and I click Next. Nothing happens. I click Next again. I go back to the previous screen, refresh the page, and try all over again. The Next button does nothing, no matter what I do. I'm stuck.

I can't create a new Google account

I'm trying to create a whole new Gmail account. My first step takes me here.

The image is not visible due to forum settings.

However, I don't want this new Gmail account to be associated with my current/default Google account, so I decide to click the "new Google Account" link on the bottom left of the above screenshot.

That takes me here:

Try clearing browser cache; if no good, try another browser.

What a pain and a number of hours of work and frustration this has been for me - horrible!!
Gmail would not let me amend or add another mail account that I had there originally. I had to change it because the other mail server settings changed.
I tried, I tried and I tried - to amend it and then delete and add the account - on Chrome, and it would not retain any settings for me.
I left a message in the community but no response. I searched for the way to contact Google another way and got nowhere.
Thank goodness for the recommended answer here - I was at a loss at what to do.

I tried another browser - it would have never crossed my mind to do that, added the mail account to my Gmail account on there, and hey presto - it worked straightaway!!
Needless to say I am absolutely delighted after what I would say is all this unnecessary 'pain'.

Why on earth can I not change the Gmail settings on Google's OWN BROWSER, Chrome??!
It's beyond me.

I have been trying to create also a new google account with my company email and after I create the password it says that something went wrong and to try to again without any success.

It's almost a year since this problem was first posted here, seems someone at Google might have noticed all of us with this exact same problem and fix it or at least address the problem. Obviously I'm having the same problem and I guess I'll go elsewhere to set up an email account. Does Gmail have lots of problems like this?
