Archive calls, text messages, or voicemail messages that you might want to reference later, or permanently delete them.

To hide a call, text message, or voicemail message without deleting it, archive it. If someone replies to a conversation you archive, the message will appear again.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Voice app "".
  2. On the bottom, tap Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to archive.
    Optional: To hide multiple items, touch and hold the first conversation, call, or voicemail then select more items.
  4. In the top right, tap Archive Archive.

Restore calls and messages:

  1. Open the Voice app "".
  2. In the top left, tap Menu "" and then Archive Archive.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to restore.
    Optional: To restore multiple archived items, touch and hold the first conversation, call, or voicemail, then select more items.
  4.   In the top right, tap Restore conversations Archive.

On a computer

  1. Go to Google Voice.
  2. On the left, open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Next to items you want to archive, click each avatar to select it. You can select multiple items at once.
  4. At the top of the list, click Archive Archive.

Restore calls and messages:

  1. Go to Google Voice.
  2. In the top left, click Main Menu "" and then Archive.
  3. Next to items you want to restore, click each avatar to select it. You can select multiple items at once.
  4. At the top of the list, click Restore Archive.

4.2 Delete calls, text messages, and voicemail messages

After you delete a call or message, you can't access it again. Currently, you can't delete multiple calls or messages at the same time. You have to delete each one individually.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Voice app "".
  2. On the bottom, tap Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Tap a conversation, call, or voicemail to select it and then More options More.
    Optional: To delete multiple items, touch and hold the first conversation, call, or voicemail then tap more items.
  4. Tap Delete Delete and then Tap the box next to “I understand” and then  Delete.

Important: You must delete each conversation individually.


Delete calls, texts, and voicemails on mobile

On a computer

  1. Go to Google Voice.
  2. On the left, open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Next to items you want to delete, click on each avatar to select it. You can select multiple calls or voicemails at once.
  4. To delete calls or voicemails: At the top of the list, click Delete ""and then Delete.
    To delete text conversations: On the right of the expanded window, click More options Moreand then Delete ""and then Delete.
