Archive calls, text messages, or voicemail messages that you might want to reference later, or permanently delete them.

To hide a call, text message, or voicemail message without deleting it, archive it. If someone replies to a conversation you archive, the message will appear again.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Google Voice app " ".
  2. Open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to hide.
    Optional: To hide multiple items, touch and hold the first conversation, call, or voicemail, then tap the rest of the items.
  4. At the top right, tap Archive Archive.

Restore calls and messages:

  1. Open the Voice app "".
  2. Tap Menu "" and then Archive.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to bring back.
    Optional: To bring back multiple archived items, touch and hold the first conversation, call, or voicemail, then tap the rest of the items.
  4.  At the top right, tap Unarchive Unarchive.

On a computer

  1. On your computer, open Voice.
  2. Open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Next to an item you want to hide, point to the profile picture and click the Checkmark " ". You can select more than one item at a time.
  4. At the top of the list, click Archive .

Restore calls and messages:

  1. On your computer, open Voice.
  2. At the top left, click Menu "" and then Archive.
  3. Next to an item you want to bring back, point to the profile picture and click the Checkmark " ". You can select more than one item at a time.
  4. At the top of the list, click Unarchive Unarchive.

4.2 Delete calls, text messages, and voicemail messages

After you delete a call or message, you can't access it again. Currently, you can't delete multiple calls or messages at the same time. You have to delete each one individually.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Voice app "".
  2. Open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Tap the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to remove.
  4. Tap More "" and then Delete.
  5. Tap the I understand box to confirm and then tap Delete.

On a computer

  1. On your computer, open Voice.
  2. Open the tab for Messages Messages tab, Calls Calls tab, or Voicemail Voicemail tab.
  3. Next to an item you want to remove, point to the profile picture and click the Checkmark " ". You can select more than one call or voicemail at a time.
  4. At the top of the list, click Delete .
  5. At the prompt, click Delete.
