Archive calls, text messages, or voicemail messages that you might want to reference later, or permanently delete them.

To hide a call, text message, or voicemail message without deleting it, archive it. If someone replies to a conversation you archive, the message will appear again.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Google Voice app " ".
  2. At the bottom, tap Calls Calls, Messages Messages (outlined), or Voicemail Voicemail.
  3. Touch and hold the item you want to archive. To archive more items, tap them.
  4. At the top right, tap Archive Archive.

Restore calls and messages:

  1. Open the Google Voice app " ".
  2. Tap MenuMenuand thenArchive.
  3. Touch and hold the item you want to restore. To restore more items, tap them.
  4. At the top right, tap Restore Restore.

On a computer

  1. Open Voice.
  2. On the left, click Calls Calls, Messages Messages (outlined), or Voicemail Voicemail.
  3. Click the icon next to the items that you want to archive.
  4. At the top of the list, click Archive Archive.

  4. At the top of the list, click Restore Restore.

4.2 Delete calls, text messages, and voicemail messages

After you delete a call or message, you can't access it again. Currently, you can't delete multiple calls or messages at the same time. You have to delete each one individually.

On a mobile device

  1. Open the Google Voice app " ".
  2. At the bottom, tap Calls Calls, Messages Messages (outlined), or Voicemail Voicemail.
  3. Tap the item you want to delete.
  4. Tap More Moreand thenDelete.
  5. Tap OK to confirm.
  6. Repeat steps 2–5 to delete more items.

On a computer

  1. Open Voice " "

  3. Click the item you want to delete.
  4. At the top right, click More Moreand thenDelete.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.
  6. Repeat steps 2–5 to delete more items.
