Create meeting memos, project task lists, and more with notes and lists.

In this section, you learn how to:

1.1 Get Keep

Keep lets you take and update your notes wherever you go.

On mobile devices

  1. In the Play Store (Android) or App Store (Apple iOS), download and install the Keep app.
  2. Tap the Keep app on your device to open it.

On the web

In your web browser, go to keep.google.com.

1.2 Create a note or list

On mobile devices

  1. Choose an option:
    • Tap Take a note and enter a note.
    • Tap New List New list and add items to your list.
  2. (Optional) Add a title.
  3. Tap Back"" to save the note or list and go back to the Notes page.


Edit a note or list:

Tap a note or list, make any changes, and tap Back "" to save.

Change a note into a list:

  1. Tap a note.
  2. At the bottom, tap Add .
  3. Tap Checkboxes.

On the web

  1. Choose an option:
    • Click Take a note and enter a note.
    • Click New List New list and add items to your list.
  2. (Optional) To add a title, click Title and enter your title.
  3. Click Close.


Edit a note or list:

Click a note or list, make any changes, and click Close.


Change a note into a list:

  1. Click a note.
  2. Click More""and thenShow checkboxes.
On the web, take a note, title it, and show checkboxes to change a list
 

1.3 Add items to a note or list

After you create a note or list, you can add to it any time. Here’s some of the things you can do:

1.4 Mark a list item complete

Next to an item, click or tap the box. If you've shared a list, anyone can mark items complete.

Completed items move under the list and are crossed out.

Check completed entries on list
