Enable import options

G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook

Sometimes, when you're trying to import data using G Suite Sync for Microsoft® Outlook® (GSSMO) your importing options are grayed out. 

Why can't I see the import options? 

  • You were upgraded from a version of GSSMO prior to version 2.1.
  • Your administrator downloaded GSSMO for you without also making the migration tool available.

What do I need to do?

You need to install a separate migration tool, G Suite Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GSMMO), before you can import data.

  1. Go to the GSMMO download page and click Download migration tool.
  2. Return to GSSMO and choose an option:
    • If you have already created a G Suite profile in Outlook—Import data into your existing profile. See Import data later.
    • If you haven't yet created a G Suite profile in Outlook—First, create a profile. You can import data when you create the profile.
