Protect sensitive information using DLP
Use data loss prevention (DLP) policies to detect sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, in email (for legacey DLP) and Google Drive files (for legacy and new DLP for Drive). You can set up policy-based actions and block users from sharing email and Drive files when sensitive content is detected.
Try New DLP for Drive with advanced features and functionality
G Suite introduces updates to data loss prevention (DLP) for Drive that allow admins to use advanced features and functionality that are not in the original, legacy DLP. When you access legacy DLP, located under the Rules tab, there is a message telling you that DLP rules and detectors are moving to a new location. That location is, from the Admin console Home page, SecurityData Protection.

Note: This new release refreshes DLP for Drive only. There is no change to DLP for Gmail scans at this time.
