Similar to many individuals who have expressed this issue -

I have and G Suite legacy free edition that i have been using for years with no problem.

For many years i didn't need to Admin anything so after many years i'm trying login and it seems i end up in a dead end.

None of the email  accounts seem to have administration rights.
Help center tells:
Your account, XXXX@domain-name.com, was set up by an administrator at domain-name.com.

When i try to login to admin.google.com

admin.google.com is for G Suite accounts only.
Regular Gmail accounts cannot be used to sign in to admin.google.com.

I am currently trying to upgrade to the the paid version of GSuite so I can create new email addresses with the same email domain. I do not want to loose my original email that I includes my domain (legacy) within the process.

I've read similar people commenting on a similar issue and yet nobody at Google has been able to clarify a fix. Can someone assist here?

It does not give me the option to add an account.

When I try to sign into the Admin Console, It does not let me sign in using my actual email. I receive the below message. It thinks my email is still a Regular Gmail account, when its actually a legacy GSuite account, using my domain name.

The other option is to use another account - which I do not have any other accounts that exist. If I create another, will I be able to do all of the following?
  • Upgrade my account to paid GSuite
  • Create the account with the same domain name as my original account
  • Add my existing email to the account (specifically because I do not want to loose access/functionality of my original and want to ensure I have all of my email users aggregated)
  • Make my original email the admin - it currently states that my actual domain is the admin for my email

Hello,

Try to sign out from all Google accounts in your browser before sign in to admin console using this link admin.google.com. Make sure to sign in using @yourdomain.com not @gmail.com account.

I am already signed out of all accounts and in incognito mode. It has nothing to do with that. There is an issue with Google and the GSuite Legacy accounts that keeps looping us and unable to actually move forward. Perhaps someone from Google would be able to acknowledge that many people on this forum have dealt with the same issue and yet there is still no clear answer on how to fix it. They potentially are loosing out on new paid clients because of this.

Thank you. I filled out that form and then received an email stating:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Google Cloud Support.

The account (name@domain.com) does not belong to supported G Suite/Cloud Identity domain. Please refer to https://accounts.google.com/recovery to seek assistance with recovery of this account.

Best regards,

Google Cloud Support

From there, when I went to recovery and tried to sign in, it alerted me to contact my admin and provided this link https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/181627?hl=en. As you can see, they keep sending me in a loop without resolving the issue.

I am the current owner of the DNS and I am the admin of my account. It appears that when Google updated their GSuite offering, they did not create proper admin accounts for their GSuite Legacy accounts. So it just makes us continue to loop without any answers. I simply want to upgrade my account to a paid account, but I can not because they are stating that I am not the admin.
