Gmail Add Email Address, DNS Error: Domain name not found code(0)

Domain Name: get2forks.com
Edition: ?
Users Affected: 1 (just me)
Problem Description: I have joined a new company, and they assigned me an email address with their domain (x...@get2forks.com), they run everything on Google Apps. I'd like to add this email address to my own gmail account so I can send emails from that email/domain (x...@get2forks.com) from within my own gmail account. I've done this with 3 other domains, but for some reason, this time it's not working. I keep getting the error:

Authentication failed. Please check your username/password. [Server response: DNS Error: Domain name not found code(0) ]

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add another email address

2. Add Email Address

3. Enter username / password

4. Error Message

Solved my own problem. At step 3 in the screenshots, I had to change the SMTP server to smtp.gmail.com. It defaulted to the domain name (smtp.get2forks.com).

I had a similar problem that was solved by replacing smtp with mail.domainname.com

and the solution came via Hostgator :)

Hi,

What works is the user name must be your full email address.
