My G Suite account is being closed in 15 days?!?!

I received an email yesterday that my G Suite account is being closed in 15 days and I need to backup my data. I don't understand if this is a legitimate email or not and there is literally no way to talk to a human about it since there is no number or contact info available to me as a google apps free account. How can I talk to someone to resolve this issue?

I'm in the same boat as well. I've already logged into admin.google.com several times, and nothing. I wonder if it's due to my service from GSuite being complementary as part of my domain name's purchase prior to the switch to monthly costs.

Hey Adam,

What exactly did the email say?

Did the email ask you to take any action to prevent deletion?

Hello Administrators,

It appears your G Suite account was acquired from an unauthorized reseller who provided these services in violation of Google’s Terms of Service. This means that we must close your existing account, and you will be required to register a new one to continue using G Suite.

To avoid future issues, you need to know:

  • We’re closing your existing G Suite account on 2017-12-14
  • You can still save your data so that it will be available to you after your account is closed. You must migrate your datano later than 2017-12-10 or it will be deleted.
  • To continue using our services, you can register a new G Suite account and your first 14 days will be free, along with support for the duration of the subscription. If you have saved data from your old G Suite account prior to the deadline above, you will be able to migrate that data into your new account.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

The G Suite Team

It doesn't seem to give me any options other than to backup up my stuff and recreate something new. What can I do to speak to someone to get it resolved so that I do not lose access to my accounts. My domain and emails are all linked to this account. I can't risk downtime on that email account due to the closure or the transfer to a new account.

Unfortunately you will be unable to save this account as it was registered in a manner which breaches our Terms of Service.

You can find help migrating your data here https://support.google.com/a/answer/100458

Or use Google Takeout to download it as per the below reference.

Best wishes,

How am I supposed to register a new account and migrate all of my data without downtime with the 24 hour wait period to register a new account linked to the same domain?

Hey Adam,

As a workaround, you can purchase another domain and create the new G Suite account under that domain name and once the old account is deleted, you can change the primary domain name on your new G Suite account in order to continue using the same domain name.

Hi Loelia,

I am in the same boat with everyone here. Is there any way to defend my case? I acquired my gsuite account trough google many years ago and they are claiming I bought it from an unauthorized reseller.

Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done. Just make sure to export your data before the account is closed.

Best,

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.

  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
