Turn sync on or off

You can turn synchronization on or off for a specific product using Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GWSMO). Doing so allows you to control the products that sync with Outlook.

If you're an admin, you can also turn sync on or off for a specific product using the Microsoft Windows registry. For details, go to Turn off sync for a specific product.

Turn sync on for data types

1. Click GWSMO in your Microsoft Windows taskbar notification area.

   If you can't find the icon, it might be hidden in the overflow area. To view all icons, click the up arrow on the taskbar.

2. Select Turn sync modules on/off.
3. Check the box beside each data type you want to sync. 

   Data types that aren't available are marked as Turned off by admin.

4. Click OKOK.
