Automatically accept chat invitations

You can let users automatically accept chat invitations from other people in your organization. Otherwise, users have to manually accept invitations from new contacts by default. 

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Appsand thenGoogle Workspaceand thenGoogle Chat and classic Hangouts.
  3. Click Chat Invitations.
  4. (Optional) Under Organizational Units, select the organizational unit you want to apply settings to. By default, the setting applies to your entire organization.
  5. Select On or Off.
  6. Click Save.
