Automatically accept chat invitations

You can let users automatically accept chat invitations from other people in your organization. Otherwise, users have to manually accept invitations from new contacts by default. This setting currently applies to only direct messages in classic Hangouts but will soon also apply to direct messages in Hangouts Chat.

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Appsand thenG Suiteand thenHangouts Chat.
  3. Click Chat Invitations.
  4. Under Organizational Units, select the domain or organizational unit you want to apply settings to.
  5. Select On or Off.
  6. Click Save.
