Unlock your domain with your provider

This page explains how to unlock your domain with particular providers. If you don't see your provider listed, contact their support center for assistance.

Google Domains

To unlock your domain, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to domains.google.com. If you're not taken to the Google Domains console, click Manage your domains at the top right. If prompted, sign in using the account username and password you used to purchase your domain.
  2. Click  Gear icon  for the domain you want to unlock and scroll down to the Domain lock section.
  3. Click Unlock domain.

Note: If you don't see your domain listed, you may be signed in to a different account than the one controlling your domain. Learn more about switching accounts.

GoDaddy

To manually unlock your domain name with GoDaddy's domain control center, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.  Use your reseller account username and password.
  2. Click Domains.
    (If you don't see Domains in your dashboard, you may need to select More controls to view the Domains option.)
    Where is it?
  3. Click Advanced DNS settings. This will take you away from Google and to a GoDaddy login page.
  4. Log in to the Domain Control Center.
  5. Use the checkbox to select the domain name that you want to unlock.
  6. Above your list of domains, click Locking.
  7. Select Unlock.
  8. Click OK.

Domaindiscount24.com

To unlock your domain with Domaindiscount24.com, please contact the Domaindiscount24.com support team to request this action. You can reach Domaindiscount24.com support via email at support@domaindiscount24.com.

domainsbyproxy.com

To manually unlock your domain name with domainsbyproxy.com, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.  Use your reseller account username and password.
  2. Click Domains.
    (If you don't see Domains in your dashboard, you may need to select More controls to view the Domains option.)
    Where is it?
  3. Click Advanced DNS settings. This will take you away from Google and to a GoDaddy login page.
  4. Log in to the Domain Control Center.
  5. Use the checkbox to select the domain name that you want to unlock.
  6. Above your list of domains, click Locking.
  7. Select Unlock.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Select My Domains.
  10. Select the Cancel Your Private Registration checkbox next to the domain name for which you want to cancel your privacy service.
  11. Click Continue.
  12. Select Yes - Cancel Domains by Proxy for the domain name(s) listed above.
  13. Click Submit.
