If your domain’s website is hosted by WordPress.com, you can verify your domain and set up your Google Workspace email at the same time. Or, you can set up email later and verify your domain by adding a meta tag or TXT record.
Important! Use this article to set up a new domain with Google Workspace. If you've been using Google Workspace with your domain for more than 3 days, your domain is already verified.
Why verify?
We don't want someone else to use your domain to sign up for Google Workspace. You can help us keep your domain safe by showing us that you are the owner.
How to verify
-
Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).
-
Click Continue to verify your domain with a TXT record.

Look for your verification code in the setup tool and click Copy.
- Leave the Google Admin console setup instructions open.
- In a new tab or browser window, open the the WordPress site.
- Enter the email address or username and password that you created when you purchased your domain from WordPress.
