Set Keep sharing options

As a G Suite administrator, you can define if Keep files can be shared outside your organization using the Drive sharing options.  Keeps supports a sub-set of the Drive sharing options:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console dashboard, go to Appsand thenG Suiteand thenDrive and Docs.
  3. Click Sharing settings.
  4. If you have the G Suite Enterprise, Business, Education, or Nonprofits edition, select the desired organizational unit. (Compare G Suite editions.) Otherwise, your settings apply to your entire organization.

  5. Under Sharing outside of organization, select the following options:

    1.  Select OFF to disable file sharing outside your organization.
Users can't invite people outside the organization to view, comment on, or edit their files.

    2. (Optional) Check Allow users in organization to receive files from users outside of domain. Users can access external Google files, but they can't share their own files externally.

  6. (G Suite Enterprise or Business users only) Share with external whitelisted domains only.

    1. Select Allow users to share outside your organization only to whitelisted domains.

    2. (Optional) Select Allow users in organization to receive files from users outside of whitelisted domains. Users can access files from non-whitelisted external domains, but they can only share externally to whitelisted domains.

Note: Other whitelisting options are not supported for Keep.

  7. Select ON to allow users to share with anyone outside your organization.
Note: Other ON options are not supported for Keep.
