Can't sign in to the Admin console

This page is for administrators who manage G Suite services for an organization or group. If you need help signing in to your personal Google Account (ends in, follow these steps instead.

If you can’t access the Google Admin console for a managed Google Account, such as G Suite or Cloud Identity, here’s what to do.

Error message when signing in

" is for G Suite accounts only. Regular Gmail accounts cannot be used to sign in to"

If you get this error when signing in to your Admin console, you’re trying to sign in with a personal Gmail address (ends in Instead, use an admin address associated with your managed Google Account.

To switch accounts:

  1. Click Add account.
  2. Sign in using your admin address and password (doesn’t end in
    This is the address used to sign up your domain for Google services.

"You've reached a login page for a domain that isn't using G Suite"

If you get this error when signing in to your Admin console, the managed Google Account you're trying to sign in to has been deactivated or deleted. Google deactivates your account if you don't verify ownership of your domain before the end of your free trial period. Another admin with the correct privileges can delete an account.

You can't recover any data from a deleted account. But, you can sign up your domain for the Google service again:

  1. Wait 24 hours from the time your account was deleted.
  2. For G Suite, go to to sign up again.

"Couldn’t find your Google Account"

If you get the above error when signing in to your Admin console, you're trying to sign in to a managed Google Account that doesn't exist or isn't available. Try the following steps to fix your problem.

Step 1: Check any text that you entered

Make sure that you entered your username and password correctly when you tried to sign in.

If you navigated to the Admin console directly using the URL, make sure you spelled your domain name correctly in the address bar.

Step 2: Sign in with a different domain

If you never added additional domains to your managed Google Account, skip this step.

You can't sign in to the Admin console with an address that belongs to a domain alias, as in A domain alias is a domain name that was added to your managed account as an alternate address.

Instead, sign in with a username that belongs to the domain used to create your account. Or, use a domain that wasn't added as an alias.

Don’t know my admin username or password

If you signed up your domain for a managed Google Account, you are an administrator of that account. To access your Admin console, sign in with your administrator address (the username and password used when signing up).

Forgot my administrator password

Option 1: Ask another admin for help

If there's another person in your organization with an administrator account, ask that person to reset your password.

Option 2: Reset your own administrator password

If no one else can help you:

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your admin username if it doesn't already appear on the sign-in page (for example, Then click Next.
  3. Click Forgot password? Then follow the instructions to reset your password.

Option 3: (Resellers  only) Ask your reseller to create a new super admin account

If you purchased G Suite through a reseller, contact the reseller: They may be able to create a new super admin account for your domain. Use it to sign in to the Admin console and regain control of your G Suite account.

Forgot my administrator username

Your username is your email address from your domain, as in (doesn’t end in To retrieve your username:

  1. Go to
  2. On the sign-in page, click Forgot email? Then follow the instructions to retrieve your username.

A previous owner signed up my domain for Google services

If someone else signed up your domain for Google services, contact them about transferring the account to you. If you can’t contact them, see Can't sign up my domain for a Google service.

I can sign in but don’t see the Admin console

If you try to sign in to the Admin console at, but instead end up at, you don’t have administrator privileges for your managed Google Account. To access the Admin console, you can ask an admin for your managed account to grant you administrator privileges.

I reset my password but can’t sign in because of 2-Step Verification

If you successfully reset an admin password but still can’t sign in to your G Suite account because of 2-Step Verification, create a Google support case. You'll be asked to show you own the domain by adding a CNAME record to your domain’s DNS settings and providing answers about your G Suite account. 

You need to know the following information to fill out the Admin login issues form:

  • Date the G Suite account was created
  • Original secondary email address associated with your organization’s G Suite account (the email used to sign up for G Suite)
  • Google order number associated with your account (if applicable)
  • Number of G Suite user accounts you created
  • Billing address linked to your Google Pay account
  • Type of credit card used for G Suite purchase and its last 4 digits
