Create an administrator account

This article provides instructions on creating your first administrator account if you never had a chance to set up one while creating your Google Apps account. If you get the warning "Google Account already exists" or are having difficulties creating your first administrator account, click here for more info.

I received an email notification at the email account I used while signing up for my new Google Apps account.

Visit the notification email and click the URL provided there to create your first administrator account.

I purchased my domain through one of Google's registration partners.

  1. Go to http://wallet.google.com/.
  2. Log in with the Google Account you used to purchase Google Apps for Business.
  3. Click View Order for the purchase of Google Apps for Business.
  4. On the next page, click Click here to retrieve your purchase (highlighted in yellow at the top).
  5. Select a username and password for your administrator account, and review the Terms of Service.

I did not purchase my domain through one of Google's registration partners.

  1. Log out of all Google, Google Mail, and Gmail accounts on your computer.
  2. Go to http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/standard/setup/[INSERT NAME OF DOMAIN HERE].
  3. Log in with the Google Account you used to sign up for Google Apps. If you've already created an admin account, you'll simply be prompted to log in to the Admin console.
  4. Select a username and password for your administrator account, and review the Terms of Service.
