Choose a language for new users

You can change which language people start using for your Google services when they first sign in to their managed Google account. After signing in, they can keep using that language. Or they can go to their own account settings and choose another language.

Change the default language

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Company profileand thenProfile.
  3. Next to Language, choose a language.
  4. At the bottom, click Save.

Applies only for newly created users

Changing the default language doesn't change the language used in your Admin console or the language selected for existing users. It only changes the initial language set for new user accounts.
