Google Cloud Print was deprecated in January of 2021 and is no longer supported.
Devices across all operating systems will not be able to print using Google Cloud Print. We recommend that you find an alternative print solution and migrate your print services.
Recommended printing options
- Printing (CUPS) for ChromeOS devices.
- For other devices or multi-OS scenarios, we recommend the respective platform’s printing infrastructure or working with a printing partner.
Save to Google Drive from print preview
After December 2020, the “Save to Drive” option won't be available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux devices. You can save documents to Google Drive from print preview.
To save from Print Preview
Important: Make sure you have the Save to Google Drive Extension installed.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Open the page, image, or file you want to print.
- Select File
Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
- Windows and Linux: Ctrl + P
- Mac: ⌘ + P
- From the Destination list in the box, select Save to Drive.
If Save to Drive is not listed, select See more... and select it from there. - Select Save.

To save with Drive File Stream:
Important: To save to Google Drive from print preview, make sure you have Drive File Stream installed.
- Click Save PDF.
- Upload the PDF to Drive File Stream.
To upload to Drive with Drive Web:
- Click Save PDF.
- Go to drive.google.com.
- Click + and select File upload.
- Select a folder.
