As a G Suite administrator, you can let your users import email and contacts from non-Google webmail accounts, such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, or AOL. First, you must turn on this feature in your G Suite Admin console. After that, users have an extra setting in the Accounts tab in Gmail settings.
You can only turn this feature on or off for all users in your account. You can't customize this setting for a child organizational unit.
From the Admin console Home page, go to AppsG SuiteGmailSetup.
- In the User email uploads section, check the Show users the option to import mail and contacts from Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, or other webmail or POP3 accounts from the Gmail settings page box.
Tip: If you can't find the Setup section, select your account's parent organization under Organizations at the top of the page. This feature isn't available when a child organizational unit is selected.
- Click Save.
Settings typically take effect in minutes, but they can take up to 24 hours to apply for everyone.
- Instruct your users to go to GmailSettings to start the import process. For details, go to Add, move, or import contacts and Check emails from other accounts.
To turn off importing from other webmail hosts, uncheck the box in the User email uploads section in step 3 above and save your changes.
