As an administrator for your organization, you can use Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO) to let your users import mail, calendar events, and personal contacts from a Microsoft Exchange account or a local PST file to a Google Workspace account. You can migrate data on behalf of a single user using the command-line version of the product.
What data can users import?
- Mail, calendar, and contact data (all at once or in separate stages)
- Mail sent before or after a specific date
What can you exclude from a migration?
- Junk mail and deleted items
- Specific mail folders for a single user (admins only, from the command-line version)
Minimum system requirements
For Microsoft Windows:
- Windows Vista (32 and 64-bit)—Microsoft no longer supports Windows Vista. We recommend upgrading to a supported version of Windows.
- Windows 7, 8, and 10 (32 and 64-bit)
We recommend that you update to the latest patches for your Windows version.
For Outlook:
- Outlook 2003 SP or 2007 SP2 (or SP1 with hotfix)—Microsoft no longer supports Outlook 2003 and 2007. We recommend upgrading to a supported version of Outlook.
- Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019 (32 and 64-bit)
What’s not supported
- macOS
- Windows XP and Server 2003
- Windows 10 ARM-based PCs
- Outlook from Microsoft 365 (web, Android, macOS, and iOS versions)—Switch to a supported computer version of Outlook.
