Choose a language for a group
Group owners and managers can set the primary language for a group. This setting controls the language of automated email messages to the group.
For example, when you add members to a group, they receive notification messages in the group's primary language. Other messages that appear in the primary language include email digests, moderation messages, and undeliverable-message notifications.
To set a group's primary language:
From the Admin console Home page, go to Groups.
If you don't see Groups on the Home page, at the bottom, click More controls.
- Point to a group, and click Edit settings.
- At the bottom of the page, click advanced settings. You’re taken to the group's permissions page in Google Groups.
- Click InformationGeneral information.
- Select a language from the Group's primary language drop-down menu.
- Click Save.
