Learn about the deprecation of the old Postmaster Tools interface

Thanks to helpful sender feedback, we’re postponing the deprecation of the legacy Postmaster Tools web interface. Our focus remains on providing senders with tools to analyze their email performance and improve their deliverability. We’ll share more details on our plans in this area in the near future.

All senders are encouraged to transition to the new Postmaster Tools (v2), as the legacy Postmaster Tools (v1) will eventually be retired. The new Postmaster Tools (v2) is the next-generation version, featuring a modern user interface and new dashboards, such as the Compliance dashboard, which assists senders in monitoring their adherence to our sender guidelines.

Frequently asked questions

What is deprecated?
The old Postmaster Tools web interface will be deprecated and replaced by the new Postmaster Tools (v2) that launched in 2024. Stay tuned for more information on timing.
What about the dashboards in the old Postmaster Tools?
All the dashboards in old Postmaster Tools are available in v2, with the exception of the Domain and IP Reputation dashboards, which will be retired. We will introduce new dashboards to provide senders with even more useful and actionable information.
Why is the Reputation dashboard being deprecated?

The current Reputation dashboard is being replaced with a new, more intuitive version. This change addresses several issues:

  • Reputation data is not easily actionable for most senders.
  • Changes in sender behavior are slow to reflect in the existing dashboard.
  • The current dashboard can be misleading as reputation is only one of many factors affecting deliverability.

The new dashboard will offer clearer, more actionable insights to help senders understand and improve their deliverability.

What do I need to do?
No action is required from you. You will be automatically redirected to new Postmaster Tools (v2).
When will the v2 API launch?
We plan to launch the v2 API before the end of 2025.
Will the current v1 API stop working?
Yes. Once the v2 API launches, the current v1 API will be retired. Developers must migrate their integrations to the v2 API.
What are the key differences between the old (v1) and new (v2) APIs?
The new (v2) API will encompass all existing v1 functionality, except Domain and IP reputation. It will also offer more useful endpoints, including compliance status, Domain Management APIs, and Batch APIs.
What is the migration process for the API?
The v2 API uses a distinct data schema which will require client code updates. Comprehensive migration documentation will be published soon.
